Selami Başaydın took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fazlı Cuma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kamber Hürmüz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Selami Başaydın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fazlı Cuma in the 27th minute of play. After 27 minutes, Haşmet Yalçuk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GALATASARAY FC and the karabayırspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to GALATASARAY FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Haşmet Yalçuk hit a great ball. In the 30th minute, Kadri Binışık hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 33 minutes into the game, karabayırspor's Kamber Hürmüz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Selami Başaydın made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Kamber Hürmüz managed to get in a good position for a shot. karabayırspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Kamber Hürmüz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Selami Başaydın breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Süreyya Serhad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aytaç Öktuna, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After a defensive mix-up in GALATASARAY FC's zone, Fazlı Cuma stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Selami Başaydın came out of the goal and Fazlı Cuma tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half karabayırspor were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kamber Hürmüz was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kamber Hürmüz in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Selami Başaydın saved GALATASARAY FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, GALATASARAY FC's Ayberk Sayman got a free kick in the 60th minute. The supporters of karabayırspor booed when GALATASARAY FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aytaç Öktuna didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Fazlı Cuma got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Fazlı Cuma scored 0-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Selami Başaydın, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 71 played minutes karabayırspor got a freekick which was hit by Bedih Ozaner. karabayırspor's Fazlı Cuma came free and shot a quick shot against goal 76 minutes in the game, fortunately Selami Başaydın had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Selami Başaydın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bedih Ozaner in the 77th minute of play. Ayberk Sayman kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamber Hürmüz in the 80th minute of play forced GALATASARAY FC's goalkeeper Selami Başaydın to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kamber Hürmüz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fazlı Cuma scored 0-3 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Selami Başaydın, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Selami Başaydın showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kamber Hürmüz in the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Fazlı Cuma managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. karabayırspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fazlı Cuma was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fazlı Cuma could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 97th minute of the match, but Selami Başaydın made a huge save. karabayırspor played a much better game than GALATASARAY FC and deserved their victory. The GALATASARAY FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
