The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Vecdi Samih suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. The ATATÜRK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remzi Bozok should have stopped the shot. 35 minutes into the match, ATATÜRK's goal looked a bit too open when Güneri Demirezen came free, but Remzi Bozok reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Güneri Demirezen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aytaç Tuncay got free with Alaaddin Uğural in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Sungurbey Kamer made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sungurbey Kamer in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alaaddin Uğural prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Remzi Bozok showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alkan Perver, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sait Güleryüz got free with Remzi Bozok in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute, ATATÜRK's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alkan Perver fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Celil Yesari kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Alkan Perver struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Remzi Bozok didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pasabahce. Murathan Ankara kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Recep Durualp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Pasabahce defense, Sungurbey Kamer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alaaddin Uğural. The Pasabahce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alaaddin Uğural should have stopped the shot. Alaaddin Uğural took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aytaç Tuncay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match was over Pasabahce could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ATATÜRK throughout the match.
