Cihan Boğatekin's late challenge caught a Balat SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cihan Boğatekin helped the player get up and apologised. 5 minutes into the game, one of Sanliurfa:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Hüsmen Arıkhan, was totally fooled by Balat SK's İlyas Demirman, who 6 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Balat SK's zone, Özcan Yiğitcan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğan Ayaz came out of the goal and Özcan Yiğitcan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balat SK's Doğan Ayaz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bayezit Tümkut in the 12th minute of play. Hüsmen Arıkhan made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Güngör Hacıfettahoğlu sent off a good shot on target. Hüsmen Arıkhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güner Kadir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hüsmen Arıkhan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 19th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ahmet Ziya Salik. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Güner Kadir in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hüsmen Arıkhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Güner Kadir managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balat SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Güner Kadir was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hüsmen Arıkhan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th match minute, Sanliurfa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Üzeyir Erencan to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Balat SK's Hüsmen Arıkhan threw himself towards the right post 35 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Güner Kadir, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 37thth minute of the game Aşkın Teksen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balat SK's Doğan Ayaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Aşkın Teksen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doğan Ayaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Özcan Yiğitcan in the 43rd minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Güner Kadir was the one to do the kick off. In the 64thth minute of the game Özcan Yiğitcan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balat SK's Doğan Ayaz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Balat SK's İlyas Demirman tried to score from far away in the 71st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Balat SK's zone, Aşkın Teksen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Doğan Ayaz came out of the goal and Aşkın Teksen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aşkın Teksen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Sanliurfa's zone, Güner Kadir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüsmen Arıkhan came out of the goal and Güner Kadir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Sanliurfa getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Bayezit Tümkut hit a great ball. Güngör Hacıfettahoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mehdi İzzettin's late challenge caught a Balat SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mehdi İzzettin helped the player get up and apologised. Mehdi İzzettin kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sanliurfa's Bayezit Tümkut got a free kick in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sanliurfa's zone, Güner Kadir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hüsmen Arıkhan came out of the goal and Güner Kadir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Balat SK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
