With a left leg Baturay Nezihi saved Selim from getting behind. Baturay Nezihi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zühtü İslamoğlu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Selim booed when Yenipazar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melih Cevdet Kulan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hilmi Oğuz charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hilmi Oğuz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Baturay Nezihi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tekin Seyidhan, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With his leg Şerafettin Altun managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Selim's Akşemseddin Özil fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
