Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan started the match with the kick off. If Hasan Hüseyin Eriş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Galata's Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan. But to his dismay, Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Haşim Bal hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The supporters of Galata booed when Senesevler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andaç Aydoğan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Haluk Özkent in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Haluk Özkent in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı saved Senesevler from getting behind. Haluk Özkent took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı. Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Galata's Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Senesevler's goalie prevented a goal. 27 minutes into the match, Senesevler's goal looked a bit too open when Haluk Özkent came free, but Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Galata getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Hasan Hüseyin Eriş managed to get in a good position for a shot. Senesevler's supporters rose to their feet, but Hasan Hüseyin Eriş was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Galip Oktay breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Senesevler! In the 44th minute Haluk Özkent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half Galata were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abdullatif Akdoruk made a kick off. Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı having to interfere. If Hasan Hüseyin Eriş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Arif Oğuralp hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Haluk Özkent received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haluk Özkent recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 65 minutes, Hakan Şerif mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Senesevler and the Galata players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Abdullatif Akdoruk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galip Oktay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 minutes of play, Galata's Haluk Özkent made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Senesevler getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Hakan Şerif hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdullatif Akdoruk in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Galip Oktay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 84th minute, Lütfullah Bostancıoğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Galata's Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Senesevler got a freekick which was hit by Abdullatif Akdoruk. Galata's Haluk Özkent got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 91 minutes, Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galata's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Senesevler's goal looked a bit too open when Fazıl Hüsnü Ünsan came free, but Necip Fazıl Erzincanlı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Hasan Hüseyin Eriş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Galip Oktay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Senesevler fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Galata were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
