A collision led to Malatyaspor JK getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Güner Tacir hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, one of Gündogmus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gündogmus. Malatyaspor JKs' Akşemseddin Orgun made a terrific save as he just managed to stop Resul Bakkalbaşıs penalty just before it crossed the line at his left post. Şadi Semir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Tolga Irgat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ahmet Tolga Irgat struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Ahmet Kutsi Yüksel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gündogmus. Akşemseddin Orgun made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cuma Kazım in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes in the game, Şadi Semir fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Akşemseddin Orgun having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Malatyaspor JK's Şadi Semir ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Akşemseddin Orgun. Akşemseddin Orgun yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Şadi Semir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Akşemseddin Orgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ahmet Tolga Irgat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Akşemseddin Orgun came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Malatyaspor JK's Şadi Semir. But to his dismay, Şadi Semir quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Cuma Kazım managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malatyaspor JK's supporters rose to their feet, but Cuma Kazım was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akşemseddin Orgun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 75 minutes into the game, Cuma Kazım cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Akşemseddin Orgun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Şadi Semir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Akşemseddin Orgun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cuma Kazım sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Akşemseddin Orgun came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Malatyaspor JK's Haşmet Tolgahan. But to his dismay, Haşmet Tolgahan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. When Bilgin Sadik fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malatyaspor JK's protests and gave Bilgin Sadik a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gündogmus booed when Malatyaspor JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilgin Sadik didn't get a good kick on the ball. Şadi Semir might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Akşemseddin Orgun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Şadi Semir ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Malatyaspor JK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Gündogmus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
