Ataol Taştekin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korcan Hataylı having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Sakaryaspor SK's Nurkan Boğataş got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 11th minute of the match Gazanfer Akasoy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Selim Temizsoy skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp in the 13th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Korcan Hataylı saved Süleoglu from getting behind. With his leg Korcan Hataylı managed to avoid a goal in the 15thth minute, when Sakaryaspor SK's Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Mürsel Katib blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Selim Temizsoy having to make a save. Selim Temizsoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Refik Halit Elhan in the 18th minute of the match. Korcan Hataylı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Guilherme Mota in the 20th minute of play. Anıl Arda Umar's late challenge caught a Süleoglu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anıl Arda Umar helped the player get up and apologised. After 27th play minutes Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Korcan Hataylı and just under the crossbar into goal. Cihangir Egesel struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Selim Temizsoy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Süleoglu. After 34 minutes, Sezai Songurhan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Süleoglu and the Sakaryaspor SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Süleoglu:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sakaryaspor SK:s goal. Korcan Hataylı had in the 34thth minute some difficulties stopping Luiz Guilherme Mota's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Luiz Guilherme Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Korcan Hataylı having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp to make the kick off. Refik Halit Elhan charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Refik Halit Elhan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sakaryaspor SK made a substitution. Arslan Saim replaced Okanay Hirfanlı. Refik Halit Elhan kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Luiz Guilherme Mota shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Korcan Hataylı showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Guilherme Mota in the 54th minute of play forced Süleoglu's goalkeeper Korcan Hataylı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp scored 2-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Korcan Hataylı, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 61st minute Luiz Guilherme Mota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korcan Hataylı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korcan Hataylı came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Sakaryaspor SK's Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp. But to his dismay, Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 73rd minute, Arslan Saim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Selim Temizsoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Refik Halit Elhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Korcan Hataylı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Mota in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of Sakaryaspor SK booed when Süleoglu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mürsel Katib didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th minute, Mehmet Fatih Uyaralp made a precise shot to the right of Korcan Hataylı. Süleoglu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0.
