Ahmet Turan Mutlutekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Özden Onultan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dinçer Akçan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmet Turan Mutlutekin having to interfere. Nurtekin Onural was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Erdoğan Kılıçer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erdoğan Kılıçer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Özalp Yura during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Alpu's Özkan Artan got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 48th minute Yaman Eyüp shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nurtekin Onural saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 75th minute, Ensar Nefi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
