After 5 played minutes Bala got a freekick which was hit by Tahir Yazgı. The audience thought a goal was coming when Başar Çolakoğlu got free with Kandemir Özerdinc in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 13 minutes into the match, Güralp Satıbey notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bala's Ali Hamza Uğuray. Ali Hamza Uğuray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kandemir Özerdinc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mithat Uraltan in the 20th minute of play. Mithat Uraltan might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kandemir Özerdinc. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mithat Uraltan ran back to his position shaking his head. Mithat Uraltan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the game, Selahaddin Kayrak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bala's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nurhak SK the free kick. In the 34th minute, one of Bala:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bala. Mithat Uraltan struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Kandemir Özerdinc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bala. 45 minutes into the match, Nurhak SK's goal looked a bit too open when Mithat Uraltan came free, but Kandemir Özerdinc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 49 minutes into the match, Bala's Arcan Karanalp broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
