Gökcan Mansız took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yenal Elmacıoğlu. Yenal Elmacıoğlu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Şanver Taluy to strike the kick off in the second half. Şanver Taluy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Yenal Elmacıoğlu having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Şanver Taluy in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yenal Elmacıoğlu saved FENER BAHÇE SK from getting behind. After 59 played minutes FENER BAHÇE SK got a freekick which was hit by Birsel Taycan. 61 minutes into the match, Göktas SK's Ergün Adal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Yenal Elmacıoğlu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an all-out effort, Göktas SK's Yenal Elmacıoğlu threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Şanver Taluy, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Göktas SK's Ergün Adal got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Göktas SK played a much better game than FENER BAHÇE SK and deserved their victory. The FENER BAHÇE SK players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
