İrfan İşcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Abdullatif Borlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mengen fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when Mengen's Ediz Gayret looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 20th minute of the match, Ruhi Oğurata tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Şinasi Necati saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abdullatif Borlu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İrfan İşcan, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Ediz Gayret sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Corum players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Mengen were winning 0-1.

Mengen's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
