Muharrem Zade recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Muharrem Zade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Muharrem Zade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muharrem Zade in the 16th minute of play forced Sıkı FK's goalkeeper Gürbüz Pekşen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Genc booed when Sıkı FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kadri Taşkın didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gürbüz Pekşen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Muharrem Zade in the 47th minute of play. After the first half Genc were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Güvenç Ülke made a kick off. Güvenç Ülke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, Genc's Güvenç Ülke dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Güvenç Ülke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gürbüz Pekşen having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Sıkı FK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Genc:s goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sıkı FK's zone, Muharrem Zade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gürbüz Pekşen came out of the goal and Muharrem Zade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Muharrem Zade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. In the 98th minute of the match Atacan Onatsu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rıdvan Çetinel skillfully saved the ball. The Sıkı FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Genc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
