Meriç Fişek took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Muhsin Başbuğ. Muhsin Başbuğ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Muhsin Başbuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meriç Fişek in the 30th minute of the match. Ali Kürşat İlighan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Berat Tümkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Meriç Fişek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Muhsin Başbuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Esentepe's Özkan Muharrem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Esentepe from getting a goal against them. Hasan Süner was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 48th minute. Turkcell's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.

In the 54th minute of the match, Meriç Fişek tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Muhsin Başbuğ saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 55th minute, Nazil Eripek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 57 played minutes Esentepe got a freekick which was hit by Çelik Onay. Hasan Süner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Özkan Muharrem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ali Kürşat İlighan struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Özkan Muharrem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Turkcell. After a rather tough play, Turkcell's Ali Kürşat İlighan got a free kick in the 64th minute. Meriç Fişek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Muhsin Başbuğ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Esentepe's Özkan Muharrem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hasan Süner in the 68th minute of play. In the 70thth minute of the game Hasan Süner who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esentepe's Özkan Muharrem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Ali Kürşat İlighan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Esentepe booed when Turkcell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nazil Eripek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Berat Tümkut fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Muhsin Başbuğ having to interfere. 86 minutes into the game, Esentepe's Meriç Fişek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Muhsin Başbuğ made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 90 minutes in the game, Meriç Fişek dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. If Berat Tümkut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Ali Kürşat İlighan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Turkcell's supporters rose to their feet, but Ali Kürşat İlighan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Özkan Muharrem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Esentepe's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
