To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hidayet Toran charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hidayet Toran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 9th match minute, Kibriscik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hidayet Toran to maneuver through the defense. In the 10th minute, Başar Karlukhan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Cüneyd Kılıçalp took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dinç Özaltın to make any attempt to save it. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cüneyd Kılıçalp to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Ataköy's Sefa Oran got a free kick in the 52nd minute. The Ataköy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dinç Özaltın should have stopped the shot. 67 minutes into the match, Ataköy's goal looked a bit too open when Erman Akyazı came free, but Dinç Özaltın reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 92 played minutes Kibriscik got a freekick which was hit by Hüsmen Koytan. Cüneyd Kılıçalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Dinç Özaltın tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kibriscik were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
