Mustafa Numan Yayalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İslam Batır, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Karapınar Belediye Spor's Müjdat Yahya got a free kick in the 15th minute. Mustafa Numan Yayalp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Polat Habiboğlu in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, İslam Batır ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mustafa Numan Yayalp was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Karapınar Belediye Spor's Süleyman Uğurlu got a free kick in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediz İrgun in the 31st minute of play forced Karapınar Belediye Spor's goalkeeper Mustafa Numan Yayalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Müjdat Yahya might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Batur Özerdem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Müjdat Yahya ran back to his position shaking his head. Batur Özerdem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Müjdat Yahya in the 36th minute. The supporters of Sarayburnu booed when Karapınar Belediye Spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Arif İrfanoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Numan Yayalp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Polat Habiboğlu in the 43rd minute of play. Müjdat Yahya blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Batur Özerdem having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and İslam Batır made a kick off. After some careless play in the Sarayburnu defense, Mustafa Arif İrfanoğlu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Batur Özerdem. The Sarayburnu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Batur Özerdem should have stopped the shot. Mustafa Numan Yayalp made an important save on a dangerous shot by Polat Habiboğlu in the 58th minute. Batur Özerdem came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Karapınar Belediye Spor's Müjdat Yahya. But to his dismay, Müjdat Yahya quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Batur Özerdem stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Müjdat Yahya's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Talha Pekşen struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Batur Özerdem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Karapınar Belediye Spor. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Müjdat Yahya in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Batur Özerdem saved Sarayburnu from getting behind. In the 86th minute, Karapınar Belediye Spor's Gündüz Zümer seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gündüz Zümer the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Karapınar Belediye Spor protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gündüz Zümer had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Karapınar Belediye Spor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sarayburnu:s goal. In the 93rd minute of the match, Polat Habiboğlu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mustafa Numan Yayalp was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
