Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Diyarbakir's Oğuzer Selçuk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. GAZİANTEPSPOR's Enginsu Türkşen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oğuzer Selçuk in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Diyarbakir's Dinçer Candemir got a free kick in the 7th minute. 7 minutes into the match, GAZİANTEPSPOR's İdris Bozkurt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Halit Ziya Kongar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. That made the score 1-1 after 15 minutes of play. 19 minutes into the match, Ricardo Morais notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Diyarbakir's Halit Ziya Kongar. Halit Ziya Kongar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oğuzer Selçuk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 27 minutes, Uğur Yerlikaya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Diyarbakir and the GAZİANTEPSPOR players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 27 played minutes Diyarbakir got a freekick which was hit by Uğur Yerlikaya. In the 28th minute Vecdi Saip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Halit Ziya Kongar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Enginsu Türkşen made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Uğur Yerlikaya sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to GAZİANTEPSPOR getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Ricardo Morais hit a great ball. Enginsu Türkşen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uğur Yerlikaya in the 38th minute. After 43 minutes, Ricardo Morais made it 1-3 with a short kick to the right side. Diyarbakir's Halit Ziya Kongar tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Vecdi Saip made the kick off in the second half. GAZİANTEPSPOR's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. Halit Ziya Kongar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Morais in the 77th minute of play. Enginsu Türkşen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uğur Yerlikaya in the 81st minute of the match. When GAZİANTEPSPOR's Vecdi Saip in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Uğur Yerlikaya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enginsu Türkşen having to interfere.
