In the 37th minute, Mutlu Sözer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Afşar Yazganalp. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güney Oyhan in the 42nd minute of play forced Fenerbahçe's goalkeeper İsrafil Buğra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. İsrafil Buğra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Güney Oyhan went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Güney Oyhan was the one to do the kick off. Rem United's Kıraç Uyarel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but İsrafil Buğra in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 83 played minutes Özer Yalınayak rounded Fenerbahçe's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. When Tahir Batıhan came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Fenerbahçe fans jumped to their feet. When the final whistle sounded Rem United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fenerbahçe.
