The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 4 minutes into the game, Tarabya JK's Dilaver Ahi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sezgin Hüryaşar made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Baturhan Geçer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sezgin Hüryaşar having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dilaver Ahi in the 9th minute of play forced Fenerbahçe SK's goalkeeper Sezgin Hüryaşar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Fenerbahçe SK's Asım Arif Tosunoğlu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Şenol Göktepe. That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahçe SK's İhsan Faydalı got a free kick in the 20th minute. Şenol Göktepe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of İstemihan Açıker's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 33 minutes into the match, Fenerbahçe SK's goal looked a bit too open when Dilaver Ahi came free, but Sezgin Hüryaşar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35 minutes of play, Fenerbahçe SK's İstemihan Açıker made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Şenol Göktepe was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th match minute, Tarabya JK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yakut Yazıcı to maneuver through the defense. Sezgin Hüryaşar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baturhan Geçer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. İstemihan Açıker struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Şenol Göktepe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahçe SK. Fenerbahçe SK's Asım Arif Tosunoğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dilaver Ahi was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Asım Arif Tosunoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenol Göktepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Fenerbahçe SK fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when Fenerbahçe SK's İstemihan Açıker looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nazım Soyselçuk took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Şenol Göktepe. Tarabya JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fenerbahçe SK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
