Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Özer Arkan took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hafız Ersunal kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Özer Arkan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Özer Arkan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gediz's supporters rose to their feet, but Özer Arkan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fethi Karakaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Gediz booed when Aydin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Atıf Öztaylan didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Utkan Uran from long distance, 13 minutes into the match, got Fethi Karakaya's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Korcan Sadik struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Fethi Karakaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gediz. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Özer Arkan in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fethi Karakaya saved Aydin from getting behind. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Aydin's goalkeeper Fethi Karakaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 0-1 became the score in the 26th minute when Eralp Atabek elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. If Nihat İnanöz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Özer Arkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 34 minutes, Abdullah Emrettin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aydin and the Gediz players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 34th minute, Abdullah Emrettin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gediz booed when Aydin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdullah Emrettin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Gediz's Alphan Hıfzullah broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Korcan Sadik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Fethi Karakaya made a huge save. Özer Arkan struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fethi Karakaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gediz. Korcan Sadik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fethi Karakaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. In the 45th minute, Özer Arkan fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Korcan Sadik succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-1 in the 49th playminute. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 56th minute, Nihat İnanöz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Korcan Sadik in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fethi Karakaya saved Aydin from getting behind. When Nihat İnanöz came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Aydin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nihat İnanöz couldn't finish the play. If Özer Arkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Özer Arkan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81stth minute of the game Korcan Sadik who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aydin's Fethi Karakaya was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Özer Arkan struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Fethi Karakaya didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gediz. Fethi Karakaya stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Özer Arkan's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özer Arkan in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fethi Karakaya prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fethi Karakaya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özer Arkan in the 88th minute of play. Korcan Sadik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Fethi Karakaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aydin's Fethi Karakaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özer Arkan in the 94th minute of play. Fethi Karakaya came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Gediz's Korcan Sadik. But to his dismay, Korcan Sadik quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Aydin players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gediz.
