SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ's Dilaver Yonal got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ümit Olgaç fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ's protests and gave Ümit Olgaç a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ got a freekick which was hit by Ümit Olgaç. In the 8th minute Baturay Levent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serter Garip saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ's Ersin Terim got a free kick in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Dilaver Yonal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Şadi Okyar. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dilaver Yonal took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şadi Okyar. Şadi Okyar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of AYDINSPOR 1966 booed when SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ferhat Kaçkar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Behram Okyay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Şadi Okyar having to interfere. When Dilaver Yonal came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dilaver Yonal couldn't finish the play. The AYDINSPOR 1966 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ were winning 0-2.

The wind increased when Semavi Bahçeli made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dilaver Yonal in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şadi Okyar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute, Baturay Levent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dilaver Yonal in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şadi Okyar saved AYDINSPOR 1966 from getting behind. Celalettin Varol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 64thth minute of the game Dilaver Yonal who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but AYDINSPOR 1966's Şadi Okyar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Celalettin Varol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Şadi Okyar made a huge save. 1-2 became the score in the 69th minute when Semavi Bahçeli elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. During the 79th minute of the match Ümit Olgaç completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Ümit Olgaç a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 80th match minute, SULUOVA SPOR KULÜBÜ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ümit Olgaç to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Sungurbey Canbulat left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AYDINSPOR 1966 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 87th minute, Dilaver Yonal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind AYDINSPOR 1966's goalkeeper Şadi Okyar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, AYDINSPOR 1966's Şadi Okyar got control of the ball when Celalettin Varol tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Dilaver Yonal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dilaver Yonal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
