After having played for 30 minutes, Doğukan Atikoğlu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ataköy FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Doğukan Atikoğlu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Behiç Oruk made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Behzat Ozaner sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Muhittin Özmert in the 49th minute of play forced Ataköy FK's goalkeeper Behiç Oruk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Muhittin Özmert made a kick off. Behzat Ozaner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Behiç Oruk having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Ataköy FK's zone, Behzat Ozaner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Behiç Oruk came out of the goal and Behzat Ozaner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Kağan Ocakçı kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bilge Kağan Seçkiner. That made the score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. In the 65th minute, Abdi Mehmet Asıf made a precise shot to the right of Behiç Oruk. Ataköy FK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Muhittin Özmert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. In the 78th minute Behzat Ozaner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Behiç Oruk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kağan Ocakçı struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Bilge Kağan Seçkiner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ataköy FK. Bilge Kağan Seçkiner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kağan Ocakçı in the 83rd minute of play. A collision led to GALATASARAY getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Abdi Mehmet Asıf hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, GALATASARAY's Abdulbaki Umut tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Behzat Ozaner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chants of Ataköy FK echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as GALATASARAY had held the ball for most of the match.
