The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kocarli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vacib Yaltır was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pawel Sitko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Alperen Ergüvenç tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 17th minute, Mustafa Hamit Özbekkan made a precise shot to the right of Mümtazer Yura. Gaziantep's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Pawel Sitko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alperen Ergüvenç having to interfere. Mümtazer Yura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abidin Korgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Mümtazer Yura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mustafa Hamit Özbekkan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, Mehmet Ferit Akkaş hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Turan Cansever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alperen Ergüvenç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turan Cansever in the 38th minute of the match. Pawel Sitko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alperen Ergüvenç read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Kocarli booed when Gaziantep was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Turan Cansever didn't get a good kick on the ball. Turan Cansever fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alperen Ergüvenç having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mustafa Hamit Özbekkan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kocarli's zone, Kuddusî Reşit stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alperen Ergüvenç came out of the goal and Kuddusî Reşit tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alperen Ergüvenç showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Turan Cansever in the 55th minute of the match. 56 minutes into the game, Abidin Korgan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mümtazer Yura. Abidin Korgan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 62 minutes into the game, Mustafa Hamit Özbekkan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kocarli's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gaziantep the free kick. In the 70th minute Mustafa Hamit Özbekkan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mümtazer Yura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pawel Sitko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alperen Ergüvenç having to interfere. Kocarli's Alperen Ergüvenç played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Turan Cansever in the 74th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turan Cansever couldn't finish the play. Gaziantep's Turan Cansever got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alperen Ergüvenç made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turan Cansever in the 90th minute of play. Alperen Ergüvenç took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Turan Cansever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the match, Gaziantep's goalkeeper Mümtazer Yura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abidin Korgan. The supporters of Gaziantep booed when Kocarli was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dilaver Coşar didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the game, Turan Cansever cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Alperen Ergüvenç was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
