Mehmet Hamdi Tuğaltay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ergani. After having played for 27 minutes, Korkut Turan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ergani's supporters crossed their fingers, but Korkut Turan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Korkut Turan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Asaf Tozun hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bedih Erseven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Yıldırım Haymanalı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abay Ogansoy in the 53rd minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, Demirci's goalkeeper Mehmet Hamdi Tuğaltay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Korkut Turan. After a defensive mix-up in Demirci's zone, Arif Burak Kudretullah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Hamdi Tuğaltay came out of the goal and Arif Burak Kudretullah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nurkan Birsoy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Mehmet Hamdi Tuğaltay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yıldırım Haymanalı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bedih Erseven in the 65th minute of the match. After 73 played minutes Ergani got a freekick which was hit by Nurkan Birsoy. If Abay Ogansoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute.
