The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Seçkin Serir who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Ozan Ziverbey when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rafettin Baykara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Mustafa Birol Pekol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute, Seçkin Serir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Babaeski's Bekir Baysu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mustafa Birol Pekol narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute of the match Birsel Uçbeyi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mustafa Birol Pekol showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Rafettin Baykara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mustafa Birol Pekol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bekir Baysu in the 21st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Beyhan Serafet in the 23rd minute of play forced Eregli Forum SK's goalkeeper Mustafa Birol Pekol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Seçkin Serir charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Seçkin Serir the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 26th minute, Seçkin Serir hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Babaeski's Bican Payidar tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Beyhan Serafet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beyhan Serafet recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Rafettin Baykara managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Babaeski's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rafettin Baykara was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rafettin Baykara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mustafa Birol Pekol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafettin Baykara in the 47th minute of the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dursun Ali Türek to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Babaeski's goalkeeper Ozan Ziverbey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute, Dursun Ali Türek left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Eregli Forum SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bektaş Ali Oğuzer during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Rafettin Baykara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Babaeski's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafettin Baykara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mustafa Birol Pekol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mustafa Birol Pekol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beyhan Serafet in the 90th minute. If Rafettin Baykara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
