The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hurşit Akbaşak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haluk Sarıcabay in the 20th minute of the match. Karasu's Hurşit Akbaşak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haluk Sarıcabay in the 22nd minute of play. beşiktaş's Güntekin Balaban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save beşiktaş from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute, Karasu's Sercan Maruf ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Güntekin Balaban. Güntekin Balaban yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Berkin Bekdil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hurşit Akbaşak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hurşit Akbaşak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haluk Sarıcabay in the 52nd minute of the match. If Haluk Sarıcabay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 59th minute Sercan Maruf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Güntekin Balaban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
