After 10 played minutes, Dörtdivan's Şahap Aktaç shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mehmet Efe Secaattin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Dörtdivan reached it. Meriç Oğuztan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Meriç Oğuztan in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Özcan Bengi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute Gazi Faydalı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Efe Secaattin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edip Hamurcu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mehmet Efe Secaattin having to interfere. Özcan Bengi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Meriç Oğuztan in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gazi Faydalı to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ETE SPOR's Cankut Zorbey got a free kick in the 54th minute. The supporters of ETE SPOR booed when Dörtdivan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gazi Faydalı didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gazi Faydalı got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for Dörtdivan. Meriç Oğuztan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Özcan Bengi having to interfere. ETE SPOR's Mehmet Efe Secaattin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save ETE SPOR from getting a goal against them. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 64th minute of the game. One of Dörtdivan:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of ETE SPOR:s goal. In the 66th minute there was a penalty for ETE SPOR. Doğaner Özguner stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Özcan Bengi. 3-1. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ETE SPOR! Edip Hamurcu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, ETE SPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Edip Hamurcu came free, but Mehmet Efe Secaattin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ömer Irgatbaşı hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Özcan Bengi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from İhsan Akdemirci in the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Doğaner Özguner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Dörtdivan's Berat Durusoy tried to score from far away in the 89th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Meriç Oğuztan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Özcan Bengi was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. In the 97th minute, Ömer Irgatbaşı hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Meriç Oğuztan in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Özcan Bengi saved Dörtdivan from getting behind. ETE SPOR's İhsan Akdemirci got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Özcan Bengi came out of the goal in the 101st minute to try and stop a shot by ETE SPOR's İhsan Akdemirci. But to his dismay, İhsan Akdemirci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ETE SPOR fans cheered their team off the field, for while Dörtdivan had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
