After 24 played minutes Sariyahsi got a freekick which was hit by Barbaros Battal. Köksal Recep showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şensoy Hünkar, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Barbaros Battal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Sercan Azimoğlu made a huge save. With 36 minutes on the clock, Aybar Onursu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 36 minutes into the game, one of Cobanlar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gencay İltay walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Cobanlar's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yiğitcan Gökalp 40 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 44th minute, Olgun Başdaş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alpay Sadan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gencalp Tankan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Köksal Recep tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alpay Sadan to make the kick off.
