Melih Orak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okaner Okdemir, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in OLağaN SüpHelileR's zone, Okaner Okdemir stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Melih Orak came out of the goal and Okaner Okdemir tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferdi Çoğahan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ferdi Çoğahan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Melih Orak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Arif Egemen Güneş fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MUŞ SK's protests and gave Arif Egemen Güneş a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MUŞ SK getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
