Meriç Yasık was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 22 minutes into the match, Altuğ Ahid dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Meriç Yasık, 2-1. Müfit Genişyürek stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Esat Ökkeş's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Kastamonuspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murathan Koryürek to maneuver through the defense. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Çetin Filiz was the one to do the kick off. Altuğ Ahid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Meriç Yasık tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute Altuğ Ahid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meriç Yasık saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dursun Ali Acunalp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Altuğ Ahid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kulubey's Meriç Yasık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dursun Ali Acunalp in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Kastamonuspor's Eyüp Cumali got a free kick in the 63rd minute. After 70 played minutes Kulubey got a freekick which was hit by Fethi Sayıl. In the 71st minute of the match Şeref Tayfur shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Meriç Yasık showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Meriç Yasık showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Altuğ Ahid in the 79th minute of the match. Kulubey's Meriç Yasık played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dursun Ali Acunalp in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Altuğ Ahid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Dursun Ali Acunalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kastamonuspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Dursun Ali Acunalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meriç Yasık breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kulubey's Çetin Filiz got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Esat Ökkeş got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kastamonuspor's Müfit Genişyürek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Çetin Filiz in the 97th minute of play.
