A collision led to BURSASPOR getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Ege Nazım hit a great ball. Altuğ Ahid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kastamonuspor's Müfit Genişyürek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Kastamonuspor from getting a goal against them. The supporters of BURSASPOR booed when Kastamonuspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dursun Ali Acunalp didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Kastamonuspor's Dursun Ali Acunalp nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 33rd minute, BURSASPOR's Dorukhan Atılay ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Müfit Genişyürek. Müfit Genişyürek yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Bünyamin Özbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as BURSASPOR's Dorukhan Atılay slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Müfit Genişyürek. That made the score 3-1 after 41 minutes of play. When Dorukhan Atılay came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the BURSASPOR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dorukhan Atılay couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Altuğ Ahid was the one to do the kick off. In the 84th minute, Dorukhan Atılay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kastamonuspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BURSASPOR the free kick.
