Oyak's supporters rose to their feet, but Ilgaz Uçanok was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Müfit Genişyürek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oyak's Ilgaz Uçanok got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Murathan Koryürek fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kastamonuspor's protests and gave Murathan Koryürek a yellow card for diving instead. Oyak's Cengiz Toktaş managed to work through Kastamonuspor's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal.
