The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bahattin Reşat showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kılıç Ağçelik in the 5th minute of the match. Behiç Ezelhan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Behiç Ezelhan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Sertel Uman skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bahattin Reşat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kılıç Ağçelik, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Kılıç Ağçelik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bahattin Reşat. KADIKÖY SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kılıç Ağçelik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enginalp Kuddus in the 19th minute of play forced KADIKÖY SK's goalkeeper Bahattin Reşat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Gürbüz Ünaldi fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KADIKÖY SK's protests and gave Gürbüz Ünaldi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, KADIKÖY SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürbüz Ünaldi to maneuver through the defense. Silifke SK's attack was well implemented in the 24th minute, but when Enginalp Kuddus was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Silifke SK's Kılıç Ağçelik got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Silifke SK's goal looked a bit too open when Nusret Uygun came free, but Sertel Uman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Erhan Erakalın kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. After some careless play in the KADIKÖY SK defense, Kılıç Ağçelik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bahattin Reşat. The KADIKÖY SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bahattin Reşat should have stopped the shot. Enginalp Kuddus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bahattin Reşat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 45th minute of the match İzzet Ergintuğ shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bahattin Reşat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Behiç Ezelhan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KADIKÖY SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Behiç Ezelhan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enginalp Kuddus stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Behiç Ezelhan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 66th minute of the game. One of KADIKÖY SK:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Silifke SK:s goal. In the 67th minute there was a penalty for Silifke SK. Alperen Süleymanoğlu stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Bahattin Reşat. 1-4. Silifke SK's Sertel Uman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nusret Uygun in the 71st minute of play. A hard shot 73 in the game by Kılıç Ağçelik from a close distance when the talented Bahattin Reşat managed to make a qualified save. KADIKÖY SK's players were relieved. Kılıç Ağçelik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Enginalp Kuddus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Silifke SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Enginalp Kuddus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bahattin Reşat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bahattin Reşat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enginalp Kuddus in the 79th minute of play. In the 83rd minute of the match, Enginalp Kuddus tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bahattin Reşat saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bahattin Reşat was a little too slow when Enginalp Kuddus got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 1-5. Ahmet Ali Yağızkurt hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Silifke SK's Alperen Süleymanoğlu tried to score from far away in the 95th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kılıç Ağçelik in the 97thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bahattin Reşat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Silifke SK's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
