Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Mazgirt's Arda Tamkoç started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Merzifon's Öztürk Ulutan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arda Tamkoç in the 3rd minute of play. Öztürk Ulutan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Ali Tecmil's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Arda Tamkoç took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Öztürk Ulutan to make any attempt to save it. Arda Tamkoç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 14th match minute, Mazgirt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Ozan Torehan to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute Kemalettin Şahsuvar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kamil Kutsal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baybora Tuğaltay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamil Kutsal having to interfere. The supporters of Mazgirt booed when Merzifon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baybora Tuğaltay didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hürkan Özbas got free with Öztürk Ulutan in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 35 minutes into the match, Mazgirt's Hürkan Özbas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Öztürk Ulutan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Arda Tamkoç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arda Tamkoç had several of the Merzifon's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Öztürk Ulutan as he didn't even see the shot coming.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kemalettin Şahsuvar to strike the kick off in the second half. After 75 minutes, Selmi Tuncel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mazgirt and the Merzifon players grew even worse after the yellow card. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mazgirt fully deserved thier win.
