Levent Gümüşsoy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 14 minutes into the game, Ahmet Göktuğ Yiğitoğlu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reuben Cabourne. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Köprübasi's zone, Pablo Polo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Levent Gümüşsoy came out of the goal and Pablo Polo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yusuf Alex sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reuben Cabourne made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Recep Talha Onatkan in the 59th minute of play. Reuben Cabourne showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Volkan Polatalp in the 67th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yusuf Alex in the 69th minute of play forced Köprübasi's goalkeeper Levent Gümüşsoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st match minute, Köprübasi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Müslüm Rasi to maneuver through the defense. The Buharkent supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buharkent would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
