A collision led to Akköy getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Adnan Akalın hit a great ball. Ferhat Kemal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Atabey Akbatur in the 16th minute of the match. Akköy's Talat Kurumer got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 27 played minutes Kavaklı Spor got a freekick which was hit by Cihangir Ergül. Ataman İpekçi was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Necmettin Özdamar. In the 32nd match minute, Kavaklı Spor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramazan Tuncer to maneuver through the defense. Osman Nuri Erçin struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kavaklı Spor reached it. If Osman Nuri Erçin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Talat Kurumer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ataman İpekçi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Osman Nuri Erçin in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ataman İpekçi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

53 minutes into the match, Talat Kurumer notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Kavaklı Spor's Ataman İpekçi. Ataman İpekçi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Talat Kurumer struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Ferhat Kemal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ataman İpekçi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Talat Kurumer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Osman Nuri Erçin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ataman İpekçi was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Akköy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Talat Kurumer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Akköy had played much better football throughout.
