An unexpectedly hard shot by Batıkan Gürçınar in the 10th minute of play forced Dalaman's goalkeeper Yakup Kadri Yildıran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Merinos's Denizhan Bakanay got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Mecnun Özçin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dalaman fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Akın Kutlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakup Kadri Yildıran having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Batıkan Gürçınar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakup Kadri Yildıran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Denizhan Bakanay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Akın Kutlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mecnun Özçin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 31stth minute, Bahattin Ceviz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Dalaman booed when Merinos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Yaşar Kabataş didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mecnun Özçin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Akın Kutlu struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Yakup Kadri Yildıran didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merinos. Lokman Akçabay charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lokman Akçabay the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 55th match minute, Dalaman was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lokman Akçabay to maneuver through the defense. Merinos's Bahattin Ceviz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mecnun Özçin in the 61st minute of play. Bahattin Ceviz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hacı Ali Sabit, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Doğuş Safih fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dalaman's protests and gave Doğuş Safih a yellow card for diving instead. Doğuş Safih hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Bahattin Ceviz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hacı Ali Sabit in the 70th minute of the match. Hacı Ali Sabit sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 79 minutes into the match, Merinos's goal looked a bit too open when Mecnun Özçin came free, but Bahattin Ceviz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Akın Kutlu could shoot a difficult shot in the 81st minute, which Yakup Kadri Yildıran however easily saved by the left post. 82 minutes into the game, Doğukan Türek was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dalaman's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merinos the free kick. After 82 played minutes Dalaman got a freekick which was hit by Doğukan Türek. In the 87th minute, Dalaman's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Akın Kutlu fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Namık Terim hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Dalaman's Yakup Kadri Yildıran got control of the ball when Akın Kutlu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Dalaman's Cihan Baykara seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cihan Baykara the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Dalaman protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cihan Baykara had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dalaman fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
