Gürhan Oğuzbay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Yağızhan Canel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute, one of Ankaragücü:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ankaragücü. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Doğa Özdoruk in the 10th minute of the match. After 13 minutes, Hurşit Durukan made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Kigi's Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Ankaragücü's goalkeeper Yağızhan Canel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gürhan Oğuzbay. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğa Özdoruk in the 23rd minute of play. Yağızhan Canel made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Gürhan Oğuzbay sent off a good shot on target. Doğa Özdoruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Doğa Özdoruk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankaragücü's supporters rose to their feet, but Doğa Özdoruk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 38 minutes into the match, Kigi's goal looked a bit too open when Doğa Özdoruk came free, but Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hurşit Durukan in the 43rd minute of play forced Kigi's goalkeeper Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Kigi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fetih Elmastaş to maneuver through the defense. Aras Sayman, 46 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Abdulkadir Paşa made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Doğa Özdoruk got free with Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kigi's Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hurşit Durukan in the 55th minute of play. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doğa Özdoruk in the 58th minute. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Gürsel Paksoy capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. After 73 played minutes, Kigi's Sancarbey Polatalp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Yağızhan Canel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kigi reached it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gürhan Oğuzbay in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yağızhan Canel saved Ankaragücü from getting behind. Gürhan Oğuzbay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gürsel Paksoy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Kigi getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Namık Avcıoğlu hit a great ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Hurşit Durukan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kigi's Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Kigi's goalkeeper Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Doğa Özdoruk. The supporters of Ankaragücü booed when Kigi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Namık Avcıoğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Kigi's zone, Hurşit Durukan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı came out of the goal and Hurşit Durukan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Doğa Özdoruk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hurşit Durukan might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hurşit Durukan ran back to his position shaking his head. 95 minutes into the match, Doğa Özdoruk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arif Bilge Çiftçibaşı. Kigi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Doğa Özdoruk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. The Kigi fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ankaragücü were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
