An unexpectedly hard shot by Aytekin Ülger in the 3rd minute of play forced Genesis's goalkeeper Battal Gazi Zümer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 4 minutes into the match, Genesis's goal looked a bit too open when Aytekin Ülger came free, but Battal Gazi Zümer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Battal Gazi Zümer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytekin Ülger in the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Genesis's goalkeeper Battal Gazi Zümer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Volkan Samim. Göktan Akay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afşar Hekimbaşı, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aytekin Ülger in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Battal Gazi Zümer saved Genesis from getting behind. Genesis's Battal Gazi Zümer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hen Ceutz in the 21st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Aytekin Ülger took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Battal Gazi Zümer to make any attempt to save it. Aras Işıldar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Battal Gazi Zümer was a little too slow when Aytekin Ülger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 4-0. In the 40th minute Koray Ensar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Battal Gazi Zümer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of EDUM FK booed when Genesis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reha Baydan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Volkan Samim received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Battal Gazi Zümer came out and tried to block the shot, but Volkan Samim slotted it home off the left post making it 5-0 in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.
