The referee ignored Hanönü's protests and gave Ahmet Göktuğ Nevruz a yellow card for diving instead. Hanönü's supporters crossed their fingers, but Semail Tekay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
