The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Vahit Akil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 10 minutes into the match, Mardin's goal looked a bit too open when Türkeş Bostan came free, but Mustafa Hakan Korhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustafa Hakan Korhan made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Vahit Akil sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Türkeş Bostan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mustafa Hakan Korhan was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Vahit Akil took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mustafa Hakan Korhan. Mustafa Hakan Korhan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Vahit Akil's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Mustafa Hakan Korhan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Erdoğan Oğuzata charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erdoğan Oğuzata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of IRMAK FC booed when Mardin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erdoğan Oğuzata didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mustafa Hakan Korhan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vahit Akil in the 24th minute. After a rather tough play, Mardin's Erdoğan Oğuzata got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mustafa Hakan Korhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Türkeş Bostan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mardin's Erdoğan Oğuzata quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Fazlı Erdurmus, made in the 34th minute of the game. After some careless play in the IRMAK FC defense, Mehmet Bilge Nebahattin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yıldırım Olgunsoy. The IRMAK FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yıldırım Olgunsoy should have stopped the shot. In the 40th minute, Mehmet Bilge Nebahattin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yıldırım Olgunsoy was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. In the 44th minute, Türkeş Bostan fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Mustafa Hakan Korhan, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of IRMAK FC booed when Mardin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nadir Kaşif didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Türkeş Bostan was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Birol Ergazi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IRMAK FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mardin the free kick. Birol Ergazi hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute, Kayhan Tetiker hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Vahit Akil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mustafa Hakan Korhan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 61 played minutes Mardin got a freekick which was hit by Erdoğan Oğuzata. Mustafa Hakan Korhan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vahit Akil, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vahit Akil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Mustafa Hakan Korhan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vahit Akil in the 73rd minute of play forced Mardin's goalkeeper Mustafa Hakan Korhan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Türkeş Bostan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mustafa Hakan Korhan having to interfere. When IRMAK FC's Türkeş Bostan in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mardin's goalie prevented a goal. Türkeş Bostan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mustafa Hakan Korhan having to make a save. In the 86th match minute, Mardin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erdoğan Oğuzata to maneuver through the defense. Mustafa Hakan Korhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Türkeş Bostan, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. After 91 minutes of play, IRMAK FC's Vahit Akil made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mustafa Hakan Korhan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mustafa Hakan Korhan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Türkeş Bostan in the 94th minute of play. When the referee ended the match the IRMAK FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
