Demirhan Mansız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ayhan Yalavaç in the 5th minute of the match. A hard shot 13 in the game by Necati Budak from a close distance when the talented Kunter Akay managed to make a qualified save. Düzköy SK's players were relieved. Demirhan Mansız didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Feridun Kıncal went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 20 played minutes MARATON got a freekick which was hit by Nuh Ahid. 22 minutes into the game, Düzköy SK's Uğur Tolunbay nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demirhan Mansız made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. With a little luck, Düzköy SK's Kunter Akay got control of the ball when Necati Budak tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asım Arif Kayıboylu in the 27th minute of play forced Düzköy SK's goalkeeper Kunter Akay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 29 minutes, Uğur Tolunbay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Düzköy SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uğur Tolunbay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to MARATON getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Yağızalp Çimen hit a great ball. In the 39th minute of the match Yavuzalp Kılıçaslan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Demirhan Mansız showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Kunter Akay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yiğit Berksu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Demirhan Mansız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feridun Kıncal in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Necati Budak made a kick off. Necati Budak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When MARATON's Necati Budak in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Düzköy SK's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of MARATON booed when Düzköy SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yavuzalp Kılıçaslan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Necati Budak put it in 3-2 from a short distance just to the right of Kunter Akay. In the 63rd minute Nuh Ahid shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kunter Akay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, MARATON's goalkeeper Demirhan Mansız had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Feridun Kıncal. Feridun Kıncal's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Demirhan Mansız firmly grabbed it by the left post. When MARATON's Necati Budak in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Düzköy SK's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Necati Budak in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kunter Akay prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 79th minute Ayhan Yalavaç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Demirhan Mansız saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Demirhan Mansız stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ayhan Yalavaç's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Kunter Akay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Necati Budak, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute.
