After 9 played minutes Banaz SK got a freekick which was hit by Cihat Onatsu. Demirhan Mansız came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Banaz SK's Mehmet Ediz Ziver. But to his dismay, Mehmet Ediz Ziver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 20 minutes into the game, Banaz SK's Namık Kemal Ceviz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Demirhan Mansız made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 27 minutes into the game, Mehmet Ediz Ziver cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Demirhan Mansız was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Demirhan Mansız made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Namık Kemal Ceviz in the 32nd minute of play. The supporters of Banaz SK booed when MARATON was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tayyar Siyami didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asım Arif Kayıboylu's late challenge caught a Banaz SK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Asım Arif Kayıboylu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th match minute, MARATON was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Asım Arif Kayıboylu to maneuver through the defense. Demirhan Mansız showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anıl Cenk Aldemir in the 47th minute of the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Necati Budak to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, one of MARATON:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for MARATON. When the match had been going on for 54 minutes, Banaz SK's Anıl Cenk Aldemir got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Demirhan Mansız. 57 minutes into the match, Banaz SK's Mehmet Ediz Ziver sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Demirhan Mansız narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 59 minutes into the game, Banaz SK's Namık Kemal Ceviz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 82nd minute, Anıl Cenk Aldemir fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Demirhan Mansız, passed just outside the right post. When Aras Özker came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Banaz SK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aras Özker couldn't finish the play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Demirhan Mansız prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the MARATON defense, Mehmet Ediz Ziver kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Demirhan Mansız. The MARATON fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Demirhan Mansız should have stopped the shot.
