Fevzi Müslim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mersin SK's zone, Gencer Akdağ stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fevzi Müslim came out of the goal and Gencer Akdağ tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Metehan Soysal to strike the kick off in the second half. If Erhun Boran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 52 minutes into the match, Mersin SK's goal looked a bit too open when Uluç Tokuzer came free, but Fevzi Müslim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mersin SK defense, Gencer Akdağ kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fevzi Müslim. The Mersin SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fevzi Müslim should have stopped the shot. After having played for 71 minutes, Metehan Soysal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mersin SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Metehan Soysal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Mersin SK's Metehan Soysal sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sercan Rıdvan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Mersin SK booed when Pazaryeri FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cuma Oğuralp didn't get a good kick on the ball.
