Giresun JK's Birsel Dertsiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rahman Alan in the 3rd minute of play. Dalaman's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rahman Alan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mustafa Birol Vatansever charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mustafa Birol Vatansever the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 8 played minutes Giresun JK got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Birol Vatansever. In the 14th minute, Necip Fazıl Ağçelik hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berkin Orkun took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Birsel Dertsiz. Giresun JK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Dalaman getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Cevdet Ünlü hit a great ball. After 18 played minutes, Giresun JK's Kılıçalp Revha shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ayhan Öğeturk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Giresun JK reached it. Giresun JK's Ataol Özkent was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 21st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Dalaman getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Gaffar Yörükoğlu hit a great ball. Giresun JK's Kılıçalp Revha couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Dalaman. Yüksel Baştürk struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ayhan Öğeturk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giresun JK. Yüksel Baştürk succeeded in the game's 30th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Mustafa Birol Vatansever kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Ataol Özkent ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ayhan Öğeturk was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Şimşek Barçın made a kick off. With his leg Birsel Dertsiz managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Dalaman's Rahman Alan fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Emrah Yalgın fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dalaman's protests and gave Emrah Yalgın a yellow card for diving instead. Emrah Yalgın hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute Ataol Özkent shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ayhan Öğeturk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dalaman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. 98 minutes into the match, Dalaman's Rahman Alan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Birsel Dertsiz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rahman Alan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 100th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giresun JK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
