Spectators: 6080 (Terracing: 4750, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Turgay Kutlu started the match with the kick off. Necmettin Ergümen's late challenge caught a Samarra's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Necmettin Ergümen helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Samarra booed when Gençlik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Necmettin Ergümen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 9 minutes into the match, Gençlik's goal looked a bit too open when Turgay Kutlu came free, but Oğuzcan Toydeniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Turgay Kutlu struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Oğuzcan Toydeniz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samarra. 13 minutes into the match, Samarra's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Ilımlı came free, but Emran Ayana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Turgay Kutlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Oğuzcan Toydeniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yağız İkinci could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Emran Ayana made a huge save. Abuzer Revnak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oğuzcan Toydeniz having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Saruhan Sabih during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 36th match minute, Gençlik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Saruhan Sabih to maneuver through the defense. Samarra's Abuzer Revnak got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Turgay Kutlu scored 0-1 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Oğuzcan Toydeniz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Bülent Ilımlı made a kick off. Emran Ayana came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Gençlik's Yağız İkinci. But to his dismay, Yağız İkinci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 55 minutes into the match, Gençlik's goal looked a bit too open when Abuzer Revnak came free, but Oğuzcan Toydeniz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abuzer Revnak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oğuzcan Toydeniz having to interfere. Cihat Songur hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Oğuzcan Toydeniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abuzer Revnak in the 69th minute of play. When Turgay Kutlu came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Samarra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Turgay Kutlu couldn't finish the play. 2-1 became the score in the 72nd minute when Ahmet Bülent Ilımlı elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Turgay Kutlu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Samarra's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Samarra's Recep Kayral got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 85th minute of the match Yetkin Lütfullah shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emran Ayana showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emran Ayana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yağız İkinci in the 87th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Samarra's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet Bülent Ilımlı came free, but Emran Ayana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samarra were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
