The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Halit Ziya Saltık's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenan Zeyrek was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mirkelam Seyran couldn't finish the play. Kenan Zeyrek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mirkelam Seyran, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. After having played for 37 minutes, Oğuzkan Civanmert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tokatspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oğuzkan Civanmert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oğuzcan Akçakıl struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Eşref Togay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tokatspor. Oğuzkan Civanmert received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Eşref Togay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Eşref Togay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oğuzcan Akçakıl in the 54th minute of the match. In the 59th minute, Oğuzkan Civanmert left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. If Oğuzkan Civanmert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Oğuzkan Civanmert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oğuzcan Akçakıl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tokatspor had won after a very even match.
