Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Sezen Hekimoğlu got the match started through his kick off. Burak Acabay fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acar Muhittin having to interfere. In the 8th minute Sezen Hekimoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fazıl İlkutay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Muzaffer Akansel got free with Fazıl İlkutay in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fazıl İlkutay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sezen Hekimoğlu in the 12th minute of the match. Acar Muhittin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Burak Acabay in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burak Acabay in the 15th minute of play forced Kibriscik's goalkeeper Acar Muhittin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Kibriscik booed when FC Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Coşkun Özdek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fazıl İlkutay acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 18th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Çelikan Oğuzkan. 23 minutes into the match, FC Galatasaray's goal looked a bit too open when Sezen Hekimoğlu came free, but Fazıl İlkutay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Galatasaray's supporters rose to their feet, but Coşkun Özdek was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. When Güner Akadlı fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Galatasaray's protests and gave Güner Akadlı a yellow card for diving instead.
