Cay's Erdoğan Cansefa got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Besiri's Emrullah Fırıncıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Musa Bakır in the 45th minute of play. If Erdoğan Cansefa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Musa Bakır to make the kick off. In the 82nd minute Musa Bakır shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emrullah Fırıncıoğlu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Muhsin Kose sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Besiri's Emrullah Fırıncıoğlu didn't even have to move. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Erdoğan Cansefa sped through Besiri's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Emrullah Fırıncıoğlu. Cay's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
