Basciftlik's Ertaç Hekimhanlı proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Basciftlik from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Cay's zone, Eyüp Rafih stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seyhan Güler came out of the goal and Eyüp Rafih tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 24th minute of the match Seyfi Yersel shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Seyhan Güler showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 24th match minute, Cay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kahraman İmren to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the game, Abdi Saygın Okgüç was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Basciftlik the free kick. Seyhan Güler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ali Asım Özakın, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dinçer Kadi in the 30th minute of play forced Cay's goalkeeper Seyhan Güler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Basciftlik's Ertaç Hekimhanlı got control of the ball when Erdoğan Cansefa tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Dinçer Kadi came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Basciftlik fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinçer Kadi couldn't finish the play. Eyüp Rafih scored 1-1 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seyhan Güler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Eyüp Rafih received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Seyhan Güler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ahmet Hamdi Tacir kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Cay's goal looked a bit too open when Ali Asım Özakın came free, but Seyhan Güler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eyüp Rafih stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dinçer Kadi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Seyhan Güler made a huge save. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cay's goalkeeper Seyhan Güler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eyüp Rafih scored 1-3 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Seyhan Güler, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match was over Basciftlik could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cay throughout the match.
