Şadi Sabih fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ertan Hazin having to interfere. After 6 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Haldun Yaruk. Ahmet İlke Çakır sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. In the 13thth minute of the game Şadi Sabih who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but green street JK's Ertan Hazin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Onurhan Baltaş was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Haldun Yaruk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haldun Yaruk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Haldun Yaruk struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Ertan Hazin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. Şensoy Türkdoğan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Ahmet Sedat Tekgül skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 26 played minutes green street JK got a freekick which was hit by Berker Rıza Umman. 29 minutes into the game, Onurhan Baltaş was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galatasaray's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave green street JK the free kick. Fazlı Uysal missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 31 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Ahmet Sedat Tekgül right hand side. If Ahmet İlke Çakır had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Şadi Sabih recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 37 minutes of play, Galatasaray's Haldun Yaruk made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ertan Hazin was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Alişan Azer hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feridun Baydak in the 47th minute of play forced green street JK's goalkeeper Ertan Hazin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Haldun Yaruk to strike the kick off in the second half. Şensoy Türkdoğan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. In the 85th minute, Haldun Yaruk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Suat Seralp's late challenge caught a green street JK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Suat Seralp helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Suat Seralp got a free kick in the 88th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray's zone, Ahmet İlke Çakır stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmet Sedat Tekgül came out of the goal and Ahmet İlke Çakır tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 100 minutes, Haldun Yaruk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
